A Residential and Business Development.

Steve was appointed by Squire + Partners to be part of the team in the conversion and expansion of an existing mill into residential and business class units.

​

The overall aesthetic concept was to counterpoint the crisp white language of modern architecture against the existing traditional brickwork forms. The form of the existing mill tower was retained and converted to residential, the warehouses adjacent also converted into residential and business units with the existing large timber posts and beams restored and retained as interior design features. Additionally, courtyards were created between the cramped warehouses to allow natural ventilation and light to enter all units.
