The
design program:
Called for the upgrade of approximately 100,00 sq ft of office
space on 4 levels to include a variety of spaces: open plan office area
with perimeter managers areas, privacy rooms, teaching areas, conference
rooms and kitchenette.
The design
also incorporated the following:
- Indirect up-lighting is retained and enhanced to minimise
glare on the monitors.
- Audio-visual systems incorporated.
- Concrete structure is reused.
- Ceiling tiles, linear ceiling diffusers, and some light
fixtures were reused.
- Existing mechanical system was retained and adjusted to suit
the new layouts.
- Retaining men's and women's washrooms
- Whiteboards, projector screens were re-employed.
- Some office furniture was reused.
- Low VOC adhesives were specified for health reasons.
- Dust enclosure was used during construction activities.
